What Is a Color E-Ink Display?
A color e-ink display is a reflective, bistable electronic-paper screen that shows full-color images without a backlight. Charged color pigment particles rearrange under an electric field to form the image, then hold it on screen with zero power — electricity is only needed to change the content.
Key Benefits
- Print-like color, eye-catching signage: Bright, reflective color (E Ink Spectra 6 and other technologies) makes retail signs and ads easy to notice, with print-quality visuals up to ~200 PPI.
- Ultra-low power, lower cost: Uses very little power when updating, holds the image with no power draw, and supports battery or solar-powered signage.
- Advanced refresh & proprietary TCON: Flexible and partial refresh with support for non-rectangular display regions, powered by MyGica-Flex waveform technology to cut flicker and ghosting.
- Full size range: From small shelf-edge and door signs up to large-format billboards and public displays, all on the same reflective, low-power platform.
- Full-stack & OEM/ODM support: In-house display, TCON/mainboard, and software from one partner, with worldwide OEM/ODM customization and distribution to 100+ countries, backed by CE, FCC, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
